Bazylika Wniebowzięcia Najświętszej Maryi Panny

The Basilica of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Ludźmierz, near Nowy Targ in the Polish Podhale region, is a neogothic church built in the 1870s and designated a Basilica minor by the Archdiocese of Kraków. The Shrine of Our Lady of Ludźmierz is considered one of Poland's oldest Marian pilgrimage sites, with local tradition tracing Marian veneration at this spot back to the 13th century. Listed as a protected monument under Polish heritage law, the basilica continues to draw pilgrims from across the Podhale highlands, particularly during the Assumption feast in August.
