Prince Paul Esterhazy had this Baroque pilgrimage church built between 1715 and 1722, complete with an elaborate Calvary mountain complex - right next to the family palace in Eisenstadt. Joseph Haydn, who served as the Esterhazys court composer for decades, is buried here in the Haydn Mausoleum.
