Biasca

Biasca station sits on the SBB Gotthard line in the Ticino Bleniotal and holds the status of a Swiss cultural asset of regional significance. Between 1911 and 1973 it served as the starting point of the metre-gauge Biasca-Acquarossa railway, a now-defunct line that once connected the remote Blenio valley to the main rail network. A SBB repair workshop has operated on the site since 2016. The station is wheelchair accessible and functions today primarily as an interchange on the Gotthard corridor.
