Bellinzona

Bellinzona railway station, opened in 1874 and operated by Swiss Federal Railways (SBB), is the largest rail junction in the canton of Ticino. It connects the Gotthard main line with routes into the Misox valley and towards Locarno, making it the principal interchange between German-speaking Switzerland and Ticino. The Gründerzeit-era station building has been modernized over the decades and today offers full wheelchair accessibility and Wi-Fi.
