Bleibtreusee

A reclamation lake from 1973 in the southern Rhenish lignite mining area - what was once a pit is now a bathing lake. Located southwest of Cologne between Brühl and Hürth, part of the Rheinland Nature Park. A successful example of post-mining landscape rehabilitation.
