Claudius Therme

Liked by

Claudius Therme sits directly on the right bank of the Rhine inside the Rheinpark, making it one of the most distinctively located thermal baths in Germany. The water is drawn from a deep thermal spring and maintained at a steady temperature across several indoor and outdoor pools. Since opening in 1983 it has been a fixture of Cologne leisure life, particularly in winter when steam rises from the outdoor pool against a backdrop of the Rhine and the illuminated Dom. Beyond swimming, the complex offers a tiered sauna landscape and a range of massage and body treatments. The outdoor pool's unobstructed view of the cathedral across the river is the defining experience visitors return for.
