Köln Messe/Deutz (tief) is the underground local-rail level of a major interchange station in Cologne's right-bank Deutz district, located on Ottoplatz. With ten platform tracks, the station ranks alongside Cologne's main station in DB's highest infrastructure price category. The station building is a listed architectural monument under North Rhine-Westphalia heritage law. Its direct adjacency to the Koelnmesse fairgrounds makes it the default arrival point for trade-fair visitors, while regular commuters use it as an S-Bahn and regional rail hub on the eastern bank of the Rhine.
