Bochum Hauptbahnhof

Bochum Hauptbahnhof is the main railway hub of the Ruhr city of Bochum, connecting long-distance rail, S-Bahn, and local transit lines. The current station building was constructed between 1955 and 1957 to replace its wartime-destroyed predecessor, and is considered one of the more architecturally significant postwar modernist station buildings in Germany. Its horizontal, functional facade is a characteristic expression of early West German reconstruction-era design. The station is fully wheelchair accessible and operated by DB InfraGO.
