Botanischer Garten Solingen

Opened in 1963, the Botanical Garden of Solingen is one of the few freely accessible botanical gardens in North Rhine-Westphalia, open daily from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. The grounds are divided into several themed garden sections featuring both native and exotic plant species, and double as an open-air sculpture park with artworks placed throughout the grounds. Since 2010 the garden has been a protected cultural monument (Kulturdenkmal), recognized as a notable example of postwar landscape design. Its free admission and relaxed atmosphere make it a local retreat for families and plant enthusiasts alike.
