Boti Waterfalls

Boti Falls are a pair of twin waterfalls in the Manya Krobo district of Ghana's Eastern Region, roughly 20 kilometres from Koforidua. In local Krobo tradition, the two cascades are personified as male and female — a rare mythological framing of a natural feature as a gendered pair. According to local legend, the two falls merge during the rainy season in a symbolic union. A foot trail winds through dense tropical vegetation to the falls and a natural bathing pool; the cascades are most powerful between July and September when seasonal rains bring them to full flow.
