Medieval fortress ruins in eastern Georgia overlooking the Iori valley, once a key stronghold on the Tbilisi-Telavi road.

Ujarma is a medieval fortress-town in the Kakheti region of eastern Georgia, perched on the right bank of the river Iori near the Gombori Pass. It served as a strategic stronghold controlling the main road between Tbilisi and Telavi. The site dates to the early medieval period and reflects the military architecture of the Georgian kingdoms. Extensive walls and towers survive today, offering sweeping views across the Iori valley.
