Canberra

Canberra station is an elevated MRT stop on Singapore's North–South Line, opened in 2019 as the network's second infill station — inserted between two pre-existing stops to serve growing residential areas in Sembawang. It was the first station in Singapore to connect its platform directly to an overhead pedestrian bridge at the same level, eliminating the need for stairs when transferring. The station also earned a BCA Green Mark Platinum rating, the first MRT station in the country to do so, recognising sustainable construction practices integrated during the build. Beyond its transit function, it holds little visitor interest in its own right.
