Former medieval church on Campo Santo Stefano in Venice, now a concert hall for Baroque and classical music.
San Vidal is a former church at the Campo Santo Stefano in the San Marco sestiere of Venice. Dating back to 1001, it was rebuilt several times over the centuries before being deconsecrated in the early 19th century. Today it serves as a concert and event venue rather than a place of worship. The acoustics of the old church interior make it a popular setting for Baroque concerts and chamber music performances. The building sits directly on the busy Campo Santo Stefano, from which a bridge crosses the Canal Grande.
