Dūkštelių piliakalnis I

Dūkštelių piliakalnis I is a prehistoric hill fort (Lithuanian: piliakalnis) near the small town of Dūkštas in northeastern Lithuania. Such earthwork mounds were used from the early first millennium through the medieval period as fortifications and gathering sites, and many are considered centres of early Baltic tribal communities. Little published excavation data exists for this specific site; it is registered as an archaeological monument and listed in Lithuania's national hill fort database. Visitors will find a wooded earthwork in quiet countryside with no developed tourist infrastructure on site.
