Dattenbachtal zwischen Kröftel und Vockenhausen

The Dattenbachtal nature reserve lies between the Taunus villages of Kröftel and Vockenhausen, straddling the boundaries of three Hessian districts. Designated a protected area in 1985, the reserve safeguards the stream corridor and meadow habitats characteristic of the southern Taunus foothills. Walkers follow the Dattenbach stream through wooded slopes and wet grasslands — a quiet valley tucked between the Frankfurt and Wiesbaden urban areas.
