Estadio Huachipato-CAP Acero in the port city of Talcahuano is the home ground of CD Huachipato and holds around 10,500 spectators. Opened in 2009, it replaced the old Estadio Las Higueras. The stadium is set in one of Chile's most important industrial regions, dominated by the CAP Acero steelworks whose name it bears. The club has a strong working-class identity rooted in the heavy-industry community of the Biobio region.
