Cairo International Airport
Cairo
Also known as: ZSPD, PVG, Shanghai Pudong · +1
China's largest airport and global cargo hub — connected to central Shanghai in 8 minutes via the world's fastest Maglev train.
Shanghai Pudong International Airport is one of two international airports serving Shanghai and, with approximately 85 million passengers annually, the largest in China and one of the five busiest in the world. Opened in 1999 on reclaimed land in the Pudong district east of the city centre, it has been massively expanded since. In cargo volume it ranks second globally, behind only Hong Kong. China Eastern Airlines uses it as its primary hub. The Maglev Transrapid connects the airport to the city centre in just eight minutes — the fastest commercially operated magnetic levitation train in the world.
