Seletar Airport

Seletar Airport in north-eastern Singapore is the city-state's oldest airfield, built in 1928 for Britain's Royal Air Force. For decades it served only general aviation and business jets, but today it forms the centrepiece of the Seletar Aerospace Park, a cluster with Rolls-Royce engine assembly and ST Engineering. Since late 2018 Seletar has also handled regional turboprop flights shifted from Changi. The black-and-white colonial bungalows from the 1930s around Piers Road have been preserved and now host cafes, restaurants and boutique hotels. Visitors can reach the area by bus and catch an unusual angle on Singapore's aviation history.
