Singapore Changi Airport

Also known as: WSSS, SIN, Changi Airport · +2

Singapore's Changi Airport is the city-state's international hub and a perennial fixture near the top of the Skytrax rankings. Opened in 1981, it handled around 67.7 million passengers in 2024, placing it 15th in the world. Its architectural showpiece is Jewel Changi, a 2019 dome-shaped extension by Moshe Safdie that frames the Rain Vortex, the world's tallest indoor waterfall pouring from the glass roof. Around it spreads a tropical Forest Valley with hedge maze, sky nets and hundreds of shops and restaurants. Travellers can spend hours in the butterfly garden, the rooftop pool or the cinema, which has turned Changi into a destination in its own right.
