Heilig-Geist-Kapelle

The Heilig-Geist-Kapelle in Kempen is a small Gothic chapel that once served as the hospital chapel of the medieval town community, and today carries protected monument status in North Rhine-Westphalia. Over the centuries the building cycled through several uses, most recently housing a Christian bookshop until 2012. Since its revival by the local initiative 'Atem-Pause', the chapel functions as a quiet meeting place and refuge from everyday city life — not a museum or active parish church, but an unhurried space for reflection. The building is fully wheelchair accessible.
