Hohenzollernring

Hohenzollernring is one of Cologne's central boulevard rings, laid out in the late 19th century on the site of demolished Prussian city fortifications — a classic piece of Wilhelmine urban planning. Gründerzeit-era apartment blocks and a double row of trees define the street's character. Today the ring is best known for its dense strip of bars, clubs, and restaurants between Rudolfplatz and the Cologne Opera House, drawing a lively evening crowd well into the night.
