Jewel Changi Airport

Jewel Changi Airport is a mixed retail, garden and transit complex opened in 2019 within Singapore's airport between Terminals 1 to 3. Israeli-Canadian architect Moshe Safdie designed the building under a free-spanning glass-and-steel dome 200 metres across, one of the largest toroidal roofs in the world. At its centre the HSBC Rain Vortex falls 40 metres through the dome oculus as the world's tallest indoor waterfall; around it the five-storey Shiseido Forest Valley climbs the slopes with more than 2,000 trees. Upper floors host themed gardens, a mirror maze, a hedge maze and the Sky Net suspended observation platform. For Singapore Jewel is more than a transit space: it works as a public attraction with its own MRT access.
