Donauzentrum

Westfield Donau Zentrum in Vienna's 22nd district is Austria's largest shopping center, with around 19 million visitors annually. It opened in 1975 as one of the first American-style malls on European soil and grew over the decades into a complex of more than 250 shops, a multiplex cinema, the "the Kitchen" food court, and an attached hotel. French operator Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield took over in 2018 and added the Westfield branding. The U1 station Kagran connects directly to Stephansplatz in 12 minutes, making the center especially busy on rainy days. Worth knowing for tourists: many stores offer tax-free shopping.
