Naval Support Activity New Orleans

Naval Support Activity New Orleans operated as a United States Navy installation from 1901 until its closure in September 2011, making it the largest military base in the greater New Orleans area during its active years. Beyond Navy operations, it hosted units from other military branches and federal agencies. The base has been decommissioned and no longer functions as an active military or public destination.
