Kawasaki Todoroki Stadium

Also known as: Olympiastadion in London, London Olympic Stadium, Olympic Stadium in London · +2
The London Stadium, originally Olympic Stadium, was built between 2008 and 2011 to designs by Populous in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford and served as the centrepiece of the 2012 Summer Olympics. Danny Boyle's opening ceremony staged here gave the world the image of a pastoral-industrial Britain. After the Games the stadium was completely reworked between 2013 and 2016, capacity reduced from 80,000 to around 60,000 and retractable seating installed. Premier League club West Ham United now use the stadium as their home, alongside concerts and the annual Diamond League athletics meeting. Visitors can explore the venue on Stadium Tours, with access to the pitch, dressing rooms and press tribune.
