St Paul's Anglican Church

St Paul's Anglican Church in the Sydney suburb of Burwood is a heritage-listed Neo-Gothic sandstone church designed by Edmund Blacket, one of colonial Australia's most prolific ecclesiastical architects — also responsible for St Andrew's Cathedral in central Sydney. Built between 1889 and 1891, the church is equally noted for its Davidson pipe organ, designed by William Davidson in consultation with organist Montague Younger, making it a rare intact example of Victorian-era church organ craftsmanship in New South Wales. Listed as a state heritage item, it stands as one of the more architecturally distinguished colonial-era buildings in Greater Sydney's suburban fabric.
