Toa Payoh Public Library
Also known as: Toa Payoh Branch Library, Toa Payoh Community Library
The Toa Payoh Public Library sits in the heart of Toa Payoh Town Centre, one of Singapore's oldest HDB satellite towns. Opened on 7 February 1974, the three-floor building spans roughly 4,125 m² and carries a minor historical footnote: it previously housed the Secretariat for the 1973 Southeast Asian Peninsular Games before being converted into a library. Run by the National Library Board, it offers book lending, digital media, and free Wi-Fi across its floors. Open daily from 10 am to 9 pm and a short walk from Toa Payoh MRT, it functions as an everyday community resource for residents of all ages.
