Davos
Davos lies in the canton of Graubünden at roughly 1,560 metres above sea level, making it one of the highest-elevation towns in Europe. Home to around 11,000 residents, it sits in the Landwasser Valley and is internationally known as a congress and winter-sports destination. The surrounding mountains include peaks such as the Kleiner Piz Buin and the Hochnörderer, popular with hikers and skiers alike. The Dreifaltigkeitskirche is a notable landmark in the townscape, and the Parsenn ski area — served by the Parsennhütte — ranks among the largest in the Alps.
