Älplihorn

The Älplihorn reaches 3006 metres above sea level in the Albula Alps of the Swiss canton of Graubünden, positioned between the Davos side valleys of Monstein and Sertig. Its defining feature is a twin-peaked summit separated by a narrow notch, giving the mountain its distinctive silhouette against the surrounding ridgelines. The central position between valleys rewards climbers with an unusually wide panorama across the Davos mountain chains in all directions. Both in summer as a hiking objective and in winter for snowshoe tours, the Älplihorn sees regular foot traffic — but with no mountain hut or infrastructure at the top, the experience remains genuinely alpine and remote.
