The Yakovlev Yak-52 is a Soviet primary aerobatic trainer from the 1970s, used in the DOSAAF pre-military training organization. Manufactured in Romania from 1977 under Comecon licensing, it became the standard Eastern Bloc trainer. Its aerobatic credentials remain strong enough to have its own FAI World Aerobatic Championship class.
