Adorf (Vogtl)

Adorf (Vogtl) station opened in 1864 as part of the expanding Vogtland railway network and is today a listed monument under Saxon heritage protection. It once served as a modest regional junction, with lines branching toward Chemnitz, Aš, and Siebenbrunn-Erlbach. Of those connections, only the Plauen–Cheb line still carries scheduled passenger services; the remaining routes have been closed or reduced to occasional diversionary traffic. The station building retains its Gründerzeit character as a quiet reminder of 19th-century railway ambition in rural Saxony.
