Botanischer Garten Adorf
The Botanischer Garten Adorf is a small municipal botanical garden in the town of Adorf in Saxony's Vogtland district, opened on 20 August 1999. It grew out of the miniature landscape display "Klein-Vogtland", built between 1993 and 1995, which recreated regional landmarks at small scale and proved popular enough to prompt the town to develop the site into a full botanical garden. Its standout feature is a dedicated Kalktuff (calcareous tufa) section, showcasing plants typical of lime-rich spring habitats — an unusual geological-botanical combination for a garden of this modest size. The site makes for a quiet, educational outing well suited to families and those with an interest in regional botany.
