Buocher Höhe
Panoramic ViewForest AreaHiking
The Alarmstange, at 545.2 metres above sea level, is the highest point of the Montabaurer Höhe ridge on the southwestern edge of the Westerwald, near the village of Horressen in Rhineland-Palatinate. Together with the neighbouring summits Köppel and Lippersberg, it forms the heart of a ridge blanketed by the largest contiguous forest in the Westerwald. The summit offers views across the forested hills of the region and sits at the centre of a well-connected trail network, making it a quiet destination for hikers seeking undisturbed woodland away from more frequented tourist spots.
