Aldgate East

Aldgate East is a Zone 1 London Underground station at the junction of Whitechapel High Street and Commercial Street in the Borough of Tower Hamlets, served by the District and Hammersmith & City lines. It recorded over 12 million passenger journeys in 2014. The station has no notable architectural or cultural character of its own, functioning purely as a practical entry point to the East End.
