Arayiler

Arayiler (Armenian: Արայիլեռ) is an extinct volcano straddling the Armenian provinces of Aragatsotn and Kotayk, northeast of Yerevan. It forms part of the volcanic Armenian Highlands, shaped by long-running tectonic activity across the Anatolian Plateau. Little documented data exists on its eruptive history, making it a geologically underexplored site. Hikers who reach the summit are rewarded with open views across the Armenian plateau, with the Ararat massif visible to the south on clear days.
