Bad Münstereifel station

Bad Münstereifel station is the terminus of the Erfttalbahn line from Euskirchen, situated at track kilometre 13.8 close to the town's historic Werther Gate. The station building with its attached goods shed was built in the Schweizer Landhausstil — a Swiss chalet-inspired style popular in late 19th-century German railway architecture — combining sandstone masonry with half-timbered sections. At its operational peak the site included an engine shed, a water tower, a freight yard, and even a track scale, most of which no longer survives. Today it functions as a simple halt with no through service.
