Etzwilen railway station

Etzwilen railway station is a small junction station in the Thurgau village of Etzwilen, built in 1875 at an elevation of 435 metres. Its surprisingly large number of tracks reflects its former role as a crossroads of four lines — to Winterthur, Schaffhausen, Konstanz, and Singen — most of which are now disused or reduced in service. The Etzwilen–Singen line survives only as a heritage museum railway, giving the station a quietly nostalgic atmosphere of faded rail connectivity. The station building is a listed monument and classified in the SBB inventory of historic stations as a site of national importance.
