Grävenwiesbach railway station

Grävenwiesbach station, on the edge of the Hochtaunuskreis in Hesse, was built in 1909 in the style typical of late Wilhelmine-era rural railway architecture and is today listed as a protected Kulturdenkmal under Hessian heritage law. The station served the Friedrichsdorf–Albshausen line and once acted as a junction for the now-defunct Weiltalbahn, a branch line running deeper into the Taunus hills. Today the Taunusbahn still calls here, and the original station building remains one of the few intact historic stops from the early rail development of this rural region.
