Alsfeld (Oberhess) station

The station building at Alsfeld (Oberhess) was constructed in 1914/15 in a neoclassical style and is today a protected architectural monument. The station serves the Gießen–Fulda line; a secondary branch to Niederaula was closed in 1988. The structure on Bahnhofstraße 14 is one of the few surviving examples of late Wilhelmine railway architecture in the Oberhessen region.
