Railway HistoryRailway Station
Ishikari-Numata Station is a small rural station in the town of Numata, Sorachi Subprefecture, on Japan's northern island of Hokkaido. It opened in 1910 during the Meiji era, when the rail network across Hokkaido was systematically extended to support agricultural development of the island's interior. Today it functions as a quiet local stop with no notable tourist facilities.
