Asahikawa Station is the main rail hub of Asahikawa city on Japan's northern island of Hokkaido. Opened in 1898 during the Meiji era, it connects several JR Hokkaido lines and serves as the primary gateway for travelers heading to the Daisetsuzan National Park. The current station building is a modern structure typical of regional Japanese railway infrastructure.
