Poprad-Tatry railway station

Poprad-Tatry station is the main rail hub of the northern Slovak city of Poprad and the primary gateway into the High Tatras. The double-track Košice–Žilina main line links it to the national long-distance network, while an upper platform level is the southern terminus of the narrow-gauge Electric Tatra Railway (TEŽ), which has connected the Tatra resort villages of Štrbské Pleso, Starý Smokovec, and Tatranská Lomnica since 1908 — making it one of Central Europe's oldest electric mountain railways. For hikers and winter sports visitors, it is the most practical car-free entry point into the Tatra massif.
