Spielfeld-Straß railway station

Spielfeld-Straß is the Austrian border station on the historic Südbahn — the line that once linked Vienna to Trieste — situated in the municipality of Straß in Styria, just north of the Slovenian border. The station operates jointly under Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB) and Slovenian Railways (SŽ), which list the stop as Železniška postaja Špilje in their own timetables. For travelers today it functions primarily as a crossing point in international rail traffic between Austria and Slovenia, with no significant tourist draw of its own.
