Waldshut station

Waldshut station is the main railway hub of Waldshut-Tiengen in southern Baden, situated on the Hochrheinbahn line connecting Basel to Konstanz via Schaffhausen. Its historical significance lies in the branch line towards Koblenz-Turgi in Switzerland that originates here — this was the very first rail connection ever established between Germany and Switzerland. Today it functions primarily as a transfer point for commuters crossing between the Hochrhein region and the Swiss canton of Aargau.
