Bazylika Nawiedzenia Najświętszej Maryi Panny

The Carmelite Basilica of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary stands on ulica Karmelicka in Kraków's Piasek district, one of the city's oldest monastic churches. Founded in 1397 by the Discalced Carmelites, the church received its present baroque character through later renovations that defined its current streetscape presence. Dedicated to the feast of the Visitation of Mary, it remains an active centre of Marian devotion, listed as an immovable monument under Polish heritage law. The Carmelite order continues to operate the church, with regular services drawing both local parishioners and visitors making their way through Kraków's historic quarters.
