Beinn Chabhair

Beinn Chabhair is a 933-metre Munro in the southern Scottish Highlands, sitting within the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park between the northern tip of Loch Lomond and the village of Crianlarich. Its Gaelic name is thought to mean 'hill of the hawk', a nod to the raptors once common across these uplands. As a Munro — one of 282 Scottish summits exceeding 3,000 feet — it draws hillwalkers intent on completing the full list, a pursuit known as 'Munro bagging'. The standard ascent starts from the lochside at Inverarnan and climbs through boggy moorland to a narrow rocky ridge. The summit rewards with an expansive view across Loch Lomond and the surrounding peaks.
