Ben Vorlich

Ben Vorlich is a 985-metre Munro rising above the southern shore of Loch Earn in the Stirling council area, roughly two miles northwest of the village of Lochearnhead. Its Gaelic name translates loosely as 'peak of the bay', a reference to its position overlooking the loch. As one of the more accessible southern Highlands Munros, it is a popular target for Munro-baggers — the standard route from the Loch Earn south shore is a straightforward ascent of around three to four hours with no technical terrain. The summit rewards walkers with an open panorama across Loch Earn, the surrounding Highland ridges, and on clear days far into Strath Earn.
