Blackburn Cathedral

Blackburn Cathedral serves as the seat of the Anglican Diocese of Blackburn in Lancashire, dedicated to St Mary the Virgin and St Paul. Construction began in 1820 in the neogothic style, with the building extended significantly through the 20th century — most notably the addition of a striking modern lantern tower that sits above the original Victorian nave.
