Botanical Garden

The Botanical Garden of Comenius University sits in the Karlova Ves district on Bratislava's western edge, right at the confluence of the Vydrica stream and the Danube. Founded in 1942 and attached to the Faculty of Natural Sciences, it serves both as a teaching and research facility and as a public green space open to visitors. The garden houses a diverse plant collection alongside greenhouses sheltering tropical and subtropical species. Open daily from April through October, 9 am to 6 pm, it offers a quiet riverside retreat within easy reach of the city center.
