Botzaris is an underground stop on Paris Métro line 7bis, a four-station branch shuttle serving the 19th arrondissement. Listed as a protected historic monument, it retains the early-20th-century aesthetic common to the oldest Paris Métro stations: white ceramic tile walls and period fittings characteristic of the Belle Époque network. The station takes its name from the nearby Rue Botzaris, itself honoring Markos Botzaris, the Greek independence fighter who died in battle in 1823. In practical terms, Botzaris is mainly a gateway to the Parc des Buttes-Chaumont; the station itself is a quiet, unremarkable slice of preserved Parisian transit history.
